The equestrian zone has a huge array of features with something here for everyone.

Pony rides

It’s more than just a ride, it’s a wonderful exciting experience. It could be that you are a regular rider, or may be you have never had a pony ride before and you have always wanted to, then this is your chance to have a go with experts on hand to assist. At this show you can also have the opportunity of helping care for a pony i.e. grooming, feeding, petting, and even mucking out!





The naughty Shetland Ponies have been trained to do TV work. Not only will you see some of these “naughty tricks” but you will be told how they are trained to do them. To explain further they sit down when they should stand up, and they move backwards when they should go sidewards. Very often they sit down and completely refuse to work until they get paid! (just wait until you see this hilarious routine.

The best bit is that these ponies just love to work and you get the chance to help train and learn more about them at the show.

Horse Care Talks

Taking place daily at approx 2pm. The young and old have the opportunity to learn and understand the practicalities of owning and caring for a horse.

Donkey Sanctuary

We are delighted that the EST Donkey Sanctuary will be attending most of our shows. Not only does this Charity rescue and re-home, unwanted, sick or old donkey’s they also offer a fantastic opportunity for disabled children to experience the thrill of riding the donkeys (however, this is not available at the show see their website for further details on this). At the show you will have the chance to stroke, feed and pet the donkeys. In addition, you have the chance to meet the handlers and learn more about the animals and how they are cared for. Practical advice is available in caring for your pet. All of our zones have resident experts that can answer even the most complex question. Simply drop into the clinic and we can offer you help and advice on the best ways of caring for your pets. Whether it's feeding, health & wellbeing or simply how to best groom your pet, no question is too daft and if we don’t have the answer then our Vets Zone will be on hand to research the question(s). If you don’t want to wait until the show then email our experts beforehand and we will make sure you question(s) is answered either before or at the show.
